Accepted Students: Shadow a current student this spring!

admissions-default

Congratulations to all of our accepted students!

Whether you’ve already decided that PhilaU is the place for you or you’re still making your decision, we have a great opportunity to get a closer look at what it’s like to be a student here! Each spring we offer accepted students the chance to shadow a current student in your chosen major. Your student host will take you to class, lunch, and maybe even some student activities that may be going on during the day!

You can choose the day and we will match you up with one of our host students. You can come for a full day or half, whatever works best for your schedule. Many of our student hosts went through this shadowing program as prospective students as well. They found that shadowing really helped them make their college decision and would like to help future students get a better feel for the university. Choosing a college is an important (and sometimes scary) decision to make. We want to make that decision a lot less scary and make sure you have the best visit possible!

If you are interested in signing up for the shadowing program, you can click here (http://bit NULL.ly/13eZfVu) to submit your request.

If you are interested in other types of visits (including our Open House on April 12, 2014), click here (http://bit NULL.ly/UniJ4Y)!

10 Occupations in High Demand: PhilaU has a perfect program for nearly all of them!

There are many reasons why 96% of Philadelphia University’s class of 2012 (http://bit NULL.ly/17VyRUS) is working in their field of study or accepted to the graduate school of their choice.  One of the reasons is that PhilaU is focused on educating students in fields that are important to society right now.  This morning, I found an article about 10 occupations that are currently in high demand (http://on-msn NULL.com/15JjMyJ), and it reaffirmed for me that Philadelphia University is on the right track.

Take a look at the list compiled in the article above, then compare PhilaU’s list of programs.  Maybe one of these majors will be exactly what you are looking for…

Visit PhilaU!

admissions-default

I’m sure you have been visiting many college campuses over the past few months, and I hope that Philadelphia University is on your list. As a current student and Rambassador (tour guide), I would like to invite you to visit our campus (http://www NULL.philau NULL.edu/admissions/visitorscenter/visitus NULL.html) to experience all that we have to offer.

Every school says that they have a beautiful campus, but PhilaU is like no other. I chose to attend because I felt at home on campus and I loved the fact that it’s just minutes from Center City Philadelphia. I encourage you to check it out!

Okay, it wasn’t only the beautiful campus that made me select PhilaU. Nexus Learning, PhilaU’s signature approach to education, promises to help me stand out among my peers when it comes to apply for jobs. The focus on interdisciplinary teamwork and innovation has already given me a competitive edge, particularly in my three internships!

Our campus is reflective of our unique skill-sets and personalities, and offers a playground for creativity and innovation. The sum of the unique experiences and skills that you will gain at Philadelphia University will help you become a successful professional and stand out from the crowd.

Like I said, you won’t understand how unique PhilaU is until you visit campus. So what are you waiting for? Call or go online to schedule your visit (http://www NULL.philau NULL.edu/admissions/visitorscenter/visitus NULL.html). We offer individual tours of campus and one-on-one meetings with admissions counselors Monday through Friday. If you can’t make it during the week, make sure you find a Saturday Information Session or University Open House that works for you. After you have been accepted, I encourage you to shadow a current student for a day. Go to www.philau.edu/visit or call our Visit Coordinator at 1.800.951.7287 to schedule your visit!

I might even be your tour guide! :)
