The campus is honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King on Monday by making it a day “on,” and not a day “off.”
This year students will participate in projects across our community as the city of Philadelphia plans over 1,500 projects for the annual Day of Service. Philadelphia’s service day is the oldest and largest King service day in the country.
The mission of Philadelphia University is to educate ethical and responsible professional leaders for the 21st Century. I am proud to see our students working with the Day of Service, Habitat for Humanity, The American Cancer Society and numerous other worthy organizations as they give back. They are living out what is one of my favorite quotes from Dr. King: “the time is always right to do the right thing.”
To the students of Philadelphia University, I wish you a happy Martin Luther King day and thank you for your service.
