Philadelphia University’s Black Retail Action Group (BRAG) chapter will host a BRAG Week from Jan. 22-25 at PhilaU to inform and entertain individuals interested in fashion.
BRAG is a national organization that devotes itself to educating and mentoring people of color in the retail industry, including through an internship program and scholarships.
Guest speaker Myorr Janha, senior vice president of marketing at Rush Communications and the Philadelphia University BRAG chapter advisor, will give the keynote presentation for BRAG Week on Tuesday, Jan. 22. The talk is free and open to the University community.

The PhilaU community is invited to learn about BRAG’s history with fashion pioneers like designer Tommy Hilfiger, celebrity stylist June Ambrose, hip hop mogul Russell Simmons, supermodel Beverly Bond and Vogue Editor-at-Large Andre Leon Talley, among others.
Myorr Janha will share lessons from his career, including his work with Russell Simmons.

BRAG will host a screening and discussion of the documentary Valentino: The Last Emperor. The film focuses on the life of designer Valentino Garavani and explores his personal life and storied career, as well as larger themes affecting the fashion industry.
