Rashmi Radhakrishnan, associate vice president in Philadelphia University’s Office of Information Resources, was named a 2013 Top IT Pro by the Philadelphia Business Journal, announced Jeff Cepull, PhilaU’s vice president for information resources and chief information officer.
“Rashmi’s work using performance analytics and dashboards across the University’s business and academic units has been exemplary and transformative on our campus,” Cepull said. “It comes as no surprise that the Philadelphia Business Journal is recognizing her great work on the Philadelphia University Information Resources team.”
“I am honored to receive this recognition, which reflects the important work we are doing at Philadelphia University to make this dynamic institution a place that fosters success through innovation,” Radhakrishnan said. “I would like to thank President Spinelli, Jeff Cepull, D.R. Widder, executive director of innovation, my amazing team and the wider campus community for their support and guidance. I am excited to be part of an institution that is strongly committed to innovation and progress.”
In selecting honorees, the Philadelphia Business Journal said it is “recognizing those leaders whose roles have evolved from miners of communication systems and computers to indispensable strategic advisors and operations experts. These leaders have their head in the cloud, are social and constantly innovate to capture competitive advantage. They also defend against cyber security issues to protect both the company and its customers.”
As part of an IT analytics initiative, Radhakrishnan helped develop and implement an ambitious plan to improve the reporting and analytics landscape at PhilaU and provide University leaders with solutions to help them make faster and more effective decisions. This included development of a “Smart Growth” portal using a series of tools, dashboards and reports that provide real-time actionable analytics on such things as course scheduling.
Radhakrishnan, who was selected as a top IT pro at a non-profit or government agency, will be honored at a May 9 luncheon ceremony recognizing 16 awardees in categories including Top IT Innovators, Startup Tech Star and Top IT Pros in the private, public and non-profit/government sectors.
Top winners in each category will be announced at the awards ceremony, which is sponsored by Comcast Business Class and Robert Half Technology.
