Philadelphia University’s Career Services Center has been named a finalist for the 2013 NACE Innovation Excellence Award for its “Enter the Center” campaign.
“Enter the Center is designed to introduce freshmen to the services, resources and support provided by the Career Services Center,” said Trish Shafer, PhilaU director of career services. “By starting the career planning process early in their college years, students are better equipped to make choices that positively impact their future and can better position and prepare themselves for multiple career-related internships before they graduate.”
The Innovation Excellence Awards are sponsored by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), an association that connects campus recruiting and career service professionals.
PhilaU is competing in the category of student engagement at a small college. Award winners and finalists will be announced at a June 4 awards ceremony during the 2013 NACE annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
