The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) announced June 4 that Philadelphia University’s Career Services Center won the 2013 NACE Innovation Excellence Award.
PhilaU submitted its “Enter the Center” campaign for consideration for the national award, which recognizes excellence and innovation is career services programming.
“Enter the Center is designed to introduce freshmen to the services, resources and support provided by the Career Services Center,” said Trish Shafer, PhilaU director of career services. “By starting the career planning process early in their college years, students are better equipped to make choices that positively impact their future and can better position and prepare themselves for multiple career-related internships before they graduate.”
NACE, an association that connects campus recruiting and career service professionals, selected PhilaU’s program from numerous entries from colleges and universities around the country. The award was announced at a special ceremony held at the 2013 NACE annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
