PhilaU Lauded as Top School for Design and for its Online Communications Program

PhilaU recently was named a top school for design by Graphic Design USA, which noted that “education is more important than ever as the lines between the studio and the classroom, the office and the academy, continue to blur.”

The mission of PhilaU’s graphic design communication program, the magazine notes, is “to cultivate design strategists with an innovative spirit and superior thinking skills applicable to a diversity of human needs.”

In addition, PhilaU’s online program in communications and emerging media has been named a 2014 best online communications and public relations program by Best Online Colleges.

PhilaU offers the B.S. in Professional Communications and Emerging Media through its PhilaU Online program.  With a focus on both traditional communications and emerging media that is burgeoning these days, PhilaU is poised to provide candidates with a well-rounded curriculum that embraces new technology in an ever-changing social media culture, Best Online Colleges noted.

PhilaU’s online program offers courses in technologies of communication, blogging multimedia communications and public relations and media writing, along with a final capstone course.

Best Online Colleges for the second year has ranked online programs and schools using data and survey results. “Communication degree programs offer the candidate the opportunity to enter a growing field that is in high demand by businesses, government, education, politics and non-profits,” the group said. “With the tremendous growth of social media, the curriculum provided in many communications programs can offer the graduate additional skills that will help make them highly sought by many companies that need graduates with social media training and expertise.”
