American College of Nurse-Midwives Honors PhilaU Students and Faculty

Two Philadelphia University midwifery juniors received national scholarship awards at the American College of Nurse-Midwives awards ceremony on May 16.

Due to their academic excellence and leadership potential, Makeda Rambert was awarded the Midwives of Color-Watson Midwifery Student Scholarship, and Devon Swanson received the Foundation Memorial Scholarship.

Having demonstrated leadership, clinical excellence, outstanding scholarship, and professional achievement both within and outside of the midwifery profession, adjunct faculty member Victoria Burslem was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.

Adjunct faculty member Bridget Howard was one of the emcees of the national awards ceremony.
