Biology Professor Anne Bower Teaches Benefits of Medicinal Plants: Philadelphia Inquirer

Anne Bower, associate professor of biology, taught a course on medicinal plants last semester, where students learned about the science and health benefits of natural remedies, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Dec. 27. The class of biology and health science students, including Korie Rogan, Daniela Rosen and Omosi Anabui, who were quoted in the story, grew many of the plants during the semester and made such remedies as marshmallow plant cough syrup, balms and teas that treated insomnia and boosted the immune system.
