PhilaU Invests $3 Million in Fashion and Textiles Futures Center: Philadelphia Magazine

Philadelphia University, recently ranked as one of the best fashion design programs in the world, just unveiled plans for its new Fashion and Textiles Futures Center, Philadelphia Magazine reported Oct. 19. The Futures Center includes a $3 million renovation of existing spaces to more fully support the University’s collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to learning and partnerships with such industry leaders as Urban Outfitters, Isaac Mizrahi and Lori Weitzner. Marcia Weiss, director of the Futures Center, said, “This [is an] opportunity to reimagine our textile and fashion brand.”
