On Feb. 26-28, innovative thinkers around the globe will take part in a Global Service Jam to come up with ideas to improve their communities, and PhilaU’s Strategic Design MBA program will be hosting the Philadelphia regional event.
The Global Service Jam is open to people of all ages from all over the world who come together to develop new ideas for advancing their communities. Participants will discuss possible service opportunities in tech, healthcare, education and transportation and other areas and work with professionals across a variety of fields.
Strategic Design MBA students will co-facilitate the Philadelphia Service Jam. All of the Jams worldwide will have 48 hours to respond to a prompt, which will be revealed that Friday, and develop brand new services inspired by that prompt. At 3 p.m. on Sunday, all the results will be published and shared online.
The Global Service Jam brings together people who are interested in a design-based approach to creativity and problem solving. It was started in 2011 by an informal network of service design aficionados who share a common passion for growing the field of service design and customer experience.
The Philadelphia-area Service Jam will take place Feb. 26-28 in the Downs Building on the PhilaU campus. There is a fee of $10 to cover prototyping materials and meals will be provided. For more information and to register, click here.
