Philadelphia University’s Disaster Medicine and Management program was named one of the top online emergency management master’s degree programs in the country. The recent ranking from the Emergency Management Degree Guide considered tuition and popularity data gathered from the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database.

Grabbing the No. 9 spot on the list, PhilaU’s program received high praise from the ranking’s editors.

“Some students may worry that getting their education online will mean missing out on the perceived benefits of a traditional program,” they wrote. “But at Philadelphia University, the online Disaster Medicine and Management degree actually brings two great resources—the University’s College of Science, Health and the Liberal Arts plus the Albert Einstein Health Network’s Department of Emergency Medicine—together into one stellar distance learning initiative. With this take on a critical incident management online master’s degree, you’ll gain access to in-demand careers in public health, nursing, environmental health and even national defense.”

“The real-world experiences and a required on-campus week provide a rich environment to test out knowledge and skills,” added Jean Bail, director of the Disaster Medicine and Management program.
