Recent graduate Ronnie Alley ’16 was named runner-up in the graphic design category of the global Rookie Awards. The highly competitive contest attracted 2,752 entrants from 627 schools and 81 countries. Judges ranked portfolios on overall impression, creative skills, technical skills, range of skills, complexity, presentation and industry employability.
“Having my work recognized on such a large scale is truly humbling,” said Alley, who attributes his growth as a designer to his experience in the graphic design communication program at Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University). “My professors were constantly pushing me and my designs further than I would have taken them alone. That persistent push has instilled a drive within me.”
Alley is currently an in-house designer for JKRP Architects and has an active freelance practice.
