76 Jefferson Student-Athletes Named DII Academic Achievement Award Winners

The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) Athletic Department had 76 student-athletes named 2016-17 recipients of the Academic Achievement Award by the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA).

Jefferson had the highest number of student-athletes honored in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

The Academic Achievement Award recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. To be eligible for the accolade, a student-athlete must: (1) have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, (2) have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and (3) have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
