The Association of Black Women in Higher Education to Hold Networking Event at Jefferson

The Association of Black Women in Higher Education Inc. (ABWHE) Philadelphia Chapter will hold its 10th Annual Garden Tea Party on the East Falls Campus of Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) on June 8.

The guest speakers at the networking event will be Dr. Valerie Smith, president of Swarthmore College, and Joann Mitchell, Esq., senior vice president for institutional affairs and chief diversity officer at the University of Pennsylvania. Both will share their perspectives and experiences about their roles as leaders in higher education institutions.

ABWHE has been an advocate for and celebrant of the accomplishments of black women in higher education for more than three decades.
