Jefferson CannaVATION and Research Initiatives Making the Region A Leader in Medical Marijuana: NBC10

Jefferson initiatives, such as this week’s CannaVATION business pitch competition and the mmj.org research database, are helping to make the region a leader in the fast-growing medical marijuana industry, NBC10 reported Oct. 5.

The article quotes Rose Ritts, Jefferson executive vice president and chief innovation officer, Charles Pollack, MD, director of The Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Marijuana and Hemp, and CannaVATION winner Kit Poon, a Canadian pharmacist who developed screening software to help physicians comb through a database of cannabis and find the right strain for their patients.
