Jefferson Collaboration Creates First International Medical Degree Program: Philadelphia Business Journal, PhillyVoice, Becker’s Hospital Review, La Repubblica and More

Thomas Jefferson University is collaborating with two prestigious Italian universities to offer the world’s first medical degree program that will enable graduates to practice in both the United States and the European Union, reported Philadelphia Business JournalPhillyVoiceBecker’s Hospital Review and the Italian press, including La Repubblica, Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore and Il Messaggero.

During the six-year program, students also will earn an undergraduate degree from Jefferson, an option that is possible because of the merger of Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University last year, said Mark Tykocinski, Jefferson provost, executive vice president and dean of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
