Alumni Profile: John Pugh at National Constitution Center

We recently heard from John Pugh (PhilaU GDC, 2010), Graphic/Exhibition Designer at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. “I’ve been working at the National Constitution Center for three years this Spring and I love what I do! I never would have thought that I would be working in exhibition design. My boss, Steph, came to the Senior Design Show and wound up giving me an interview on the spot (Note: you never know who’s watching!). Three weeks after graduation I started at the NCC. We are a growing organization in the Philadelphia museum world but capable of producing large, full-scale exhibits. We have three designers (all under 25 that went to school around the city). The first exhibit I worked on was Art of the American Soldier with the most recent (and praise-worthy) exhibit being American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition. Prohibition will be the first exhibit we fully designed in-house that will travel nationwide. The exhibit is scheduled to travel to seven venues, the first being in New York City in Times Square.
